Women's Soccer Wins Road Matchup Against Penn State Hazleton

HAZLETON, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Women's Soccer traveled to PSUAC opponent Penn State Hazleton for their final road match of the regular season, winning 12-1.

Grace Fenstermacher (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Nativity BVM) got off to a strong start for Schuylkill, netting the team's first three goals by the 17:27 mark, with assists on two of them coming from Evelyn Crall (Chillicothe, OH / Chillicothe). Schuylkill scored a total of six goals in the first period, with Olivia Dress (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Schuylkill Haven) contributing two and Zoë Gannon (Leesport, PA / Schuylkill Valley) adding one. Hazleton scored their lone goal of the game at the 34:34 mark.

Schuylkill maintained their offensive momentum in the second period, matching their first-period total with another six goals. Fenstermacher and Gannon combined for four of those, while Crall and Kay Lee Morgan (Hegins, PA / Tri-Valley) each added one. Schuylkill dominated the shot count, outshooting Hazleton 52 to 5.

Fenstermacher led the team with 5 goals and 1 assist. Gannon followed with 3 goals. Crall notched a team-high 3 assists. Dress added 2 goals and 2 assists. Alyssa DeBronzo (Richboro, PA / Council Rock South) also dished out 2 assists in the win.

Schuylkill (6-5-1 overall, 4-1 PSUAC) will host Trinity Washington for their next matchup on Saturday, October 19th.
