RANDOLPH, Vt. – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team shut out the Knights of Vermont State University at Randolph scoreless to secure their 5th conference win of the season on Sunday, Oct. 13.
The Seawolves would go on to beat the Knights 8-0. First-year Kaden Pillsbury (Strong, Maine) put together a hat trick performance, scoring three goals for the Wolfpack. Junior Louis Sehr (Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire) connected for five shots on goal, two of those resulting in goals. Sehr's brother Jil-Emmanuel Sehr (Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire) found himself a scoring opportunity, created unassisted.
Sophomore Tim Eulenberger (Iffezheim, Germany) and first-year Brendan Saladino (Gorham, Maine) added to the Seawolves' goal count, both goals would be unassisted. The Seawolves racked up an impressive 24 shots on goal, 15 on target.
The Knights' goalkeeper Shane Mapes would total seven saves on the day; the Seawolves goalkeeper, Ian Allen (Avon, Maine), handled two saves.
The men's next matchup will be against the Mustangs of Central Maine Community College (CMCC) for their senior day on Thursday, Oct. 17. Kickoff at Wainwright Sports Complex is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
