Women's Soccer Loses Home Matchup Against Rosemont College

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Women's Soccer fell to NCAA Division III opponent Rosemont College, 4-1.

Rosemont came out aggressively in Saturday's contest, attempting eight shots before scoring the game's first goal at the 11:52 mark. Their persistence paid off as they found the back of the net less than a minute later, quickly taking a 2-0 lead. Rosemont tallied 20 shots in the first half, finishing the period up 3-0 after scoring again at the 26:52 mark. Schuylkill got on the board at the 35:38 mark when Nia Bronson (Pine Grove, PA / Pine Grove) connected with Brittney Holland (Andreas, PA / Lehighton Area).

Schuylkill's defense managed to limit Rosemont's scoring opportunities in the second half, allowing only one more goal. Kay Lee Morgan (Hegins, PA / Tri-Valley) made 15 saves for Schuylkill.

Schuylkill will resume action on Wednesday, September 11th as they travel to Penn State Brandywine.
