Men's Soccer Tops Penn State Hazleton

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Men's Soccer defeated PSUAC opponent Penn State Hazleton, 3-0.

Schuylkill controlled the shot count in the first half, outshooting Hazleton 8-2. A key factor in that dominance was Zack Wilcox (Covington, PA / North-Penn Mansfield), who scored two of his three goals in the first half. Wilcox's first goal came at the 16:07 mark, with Jake Moser (Pottstown, PA / Pottstown) providing the assist. Schuylkill continued to capitalize on Wilcox's positioning, as David Monjaraz (Shenandoah, PA / Shenandoah Valley) set him up to extend the lead to 2-0.

The second half mirrored the first, with Schuylkill nearly doubling their shot tally and finishing the match with 21 total shots to Hazleton's 6. Wilcox scored his final goal at the 79:06 mark, assisted by Isaac Smith (Apo, Germany / Wiesbaden). Bryce Hensley (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Blue Mountain) was solid in goal, saving all three of Hazleton's shots on target.

Schuylkill (1-6 overall, 1-2 PSUAC) will travel to Penn State Beaver for their next matchup on Saturday, October 5th.
