JENKINTOWN, PA—United Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division II Central Pennsylvania College (8-3-0 overall, 6-0-0 Eastern States Athletic Conference) scored two first-half goals in less than three minutes as the fourth-ranked Knights defeated the eighth-ranked (tied) USCAA Division I Manor College Blue Jays (5-6-1, 2-3-1), 3-1.  

Central Pennsylvania freshman midfielder Donnie Powell opened up the scoring with his fifth (5:46) and sixth goals (8:00) of the season. Manor cut the lead in half on sophomore midfielder Adan Crispin-Morales' (Norristown, PA/Norristown) goal on a direct kick (15:26). It was his fourth goal of the season and his team-leading 14th point. Central Pennsylvania regained its two-goal lead when freshman defenseman Chris Saboe-Moore scored his second goal of the season, with an assist by Powell (his first collegiate) (25:02).  The Knights led at halftime, 3-1.  Manor  outshot Central Pennsylvania, 11 (seven on goal) to eight (five on goal).  

Neither team scored in the second half.  Central Pennsylvania outshot Manor in the second half, 13 (seven on goal) to 11 (five on goal).  The Blue Jays outshot the Knights, 22 (10 on goal) to 21 (14 on goal).

Next Match: Manor travels to play the 14th-ranked USCAA Division II Williamson College of the Trades Mechanics (6-5-2, 1-4-0 as of October 12) at Betty and Harvey Ross Field on Wednesday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m. in Media, Pennsylvania.  Manor won the previous match-up, 5-1, on September 26 at Manor.  The Blue Jays shut out the Mechanics in their previous visit to Williamson, 4-0, on October 12, 2023.  Manor is 6-0-1 overall (3-0-0 on the road) versus Williamson since 2021.

Next Home Match: The Blue Jays host NJCAA Region XIX Division III Delaware County Community College Phantoms (5-7-0 as of October 12) on Monday, October 21 at 3:30 p.m.  Manor previously played and hosted Delaware County on October 18, 2021.  The Blue Jays shut out the Phantoms, 4-0.  Between 2012 and 2019, they were 8-1-0 overall (5-0-0 at home) versus Delaware County when they were NJCAA Region XIX members.. Manor is 5-6-0 overall (5-2-0 at home) versus NJCAA schools since 2021.  They are also 4-5-0 overall (4-2-0 at home) versus Region XIX Division III schools since 2021.
