JENKINTOWN, PA—United Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division II Bucks County Community College (2-2-0 Overall , 1-0 Eastern States Athletic Conference) freshman forward Levi Morris scored the game-winning goal in the 75th minute Centurions defeated the USCAA Division I Manor Blue Jays (2-1-0, 0-1) in its conference opener for both schools, 2-1.
Bucks County opened the scoring in the first half. Morris' pass went to freshman midfielder Raphael Fernandes around the 18 yard-line. Fernandes' shot went into the left side of the net (20:05). Manor tied the match later in the half. The Centurions committed a hand ball penalty inside the 18. Junior midfielder Shiube Larabi's (Philadelphia, PA/Science Leadership Academy) penalty kick went into the left side of the net for his first collegiate goal (42:38) to tie the match. Larabi's penalty kick goal was the first Blue Jays' Men's Soccer player to score one overall and versus an ESAC opponent since Eddie Fortescue Jr accomplished it on October 11, 2022 at Central Pennsylvania College. Larabi became the first Manor Men's Soccer player to score a penalty kick in an ESAC home match. He was also the first Blue Jay to score a penalty kick goal at home since Fortescue Jr scored one versus NCAA Division III University of Valley Forge on September 22, 2022. The match was tied at halftime, 1-1. This is the second straight match this season that the Blue Jays were tied at halftime. The overall shots were tied at eight. Manor outshot Bucks County, 13 (nine on goal) to nine (five on goal).
The Centurions the only and the match-winning goal in the second half. Freshman midfielder Michael Sayon Jr's pass inside the 18 went to Morris. Morris' shot went into the right side of the net (75:18). Manor outshot Bucks County in the second half, 12 (seven on goal) to seven (four on goal). The Blue Jays outshot the Centurions for the match, 25 (16 on goal) to 16 (nine on goal).
Manor on the Penalty Kick (Since 2021): The Blue Jays are two-for-two overall (one-for-one at home) in penalty kicks this season. They are three-for-six overall (two-for-four at home) since the 2021 season. The Blue Jays are two-for-three in penalty kicks versus the ESAC (one-for-two at home).

Next Match: The Blue Jays host the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIX Division III Harrisburg Area Community College Hawks (0-2-0) on Thursday, September 12 at 4 p.m. in Jenkintown, PA. This will be the first match-up between the two schools since Manor joined the USCAA for the 2021 season. The Blue Jays previously played the Hawks on September 28, 2019 and won, 1-0, at Manor when they were NJCAA members. Between the 2012 and 2019 seasons, Manor led the series 8-0-0 overall (4-0-0 at home). The Blue Jays are 4-5-0 overall (4-1-0 at home) versus NJCAA schools since 2021.
