Historic Victory: PSU Schuylkill Edges PSU York 72-71 to Advance to Semifinals

In a nail-biting PSUAC playoff showdown, PSU Schuylkill pulled off a one-point victory over PSU York, sealing their ticket to the semifinals where they face Mont Alto on Thursday at Mont Alto at 7pm.

Penn State Schuylkill battled fiercely against PSU York, ultimately winning 72–71 in a game marked by clutch shooting and key momentum shifts. Schuylkill shot 45.6% from the field (26-of-57) and knocked down 33.3% of their three-pointers (4-of-12), while converting 80% at the free throw line (16-of-20). A pivotal stretch in the second half saw Issac Lane ignite a scoring run—stringing together several jump shots that shifted the momentum in Schuylkill's favor.

Adding to the drama, Dashawn Dixon reached a historic milestone by grabbing his career 1,000th rebound, making him the first player in PSU Schuylkill history to notch both 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds on the men's side. This hard-fought victory sets up a semifinal clash with Mont Alto, promising another thrilling contest.
