Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Kent State University Tuscarawas Victory Over Penn State Fayette

Kent State University Tuscarawas took Friday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 13-12 walk-off victory over Penn State Fayette. The game was tied at 12 in the bottom of the eighth when Matt Jesse singled, scoring one run.
Bats blistered as Kent State University Tuscarawas collected 13 hits and Penn State Fayette tallied nine in the high-scoring game.
Penn State Fayette got on the board in the top of the first inning after Doden singled to left field, Ioannov tripled to center field, and Lessman grounded out, each scoring one run.
Kent State University Tuscarawas took the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Braydon Maine doubled to center field, Caleb Campbell doubled to center field, Penn State Fayette committed an error, and Alex Biars walked, each scoring one run.
Penn State Fayette tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to a tag up by Doden, and a single by Henck.
Kent State University Tuscarawas took the lead, 8-6, in the bottom of the sixth thanks to singles by Jeremy Patchett, and Biars.
Penn State Fayette flipped the game on its head in the top of the seventh, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 11-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Monnard that drove in three.
Kent State University Tuscarawas tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a walk by Caleb Salgado, and a double by Patchett.
Penn State Fayette took the lead in the top of the eighth. Stitch doubled, scoring one run, to give Penn State Fayette the upper hand, 12-11.
Kent State University Tuscarawas jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning after Nathan Ashcraft doubled down the right field line, and Jesse singled to right field, each scoring one run.
Dakota Foltz earned the win for Kent State University Tuscarawas. The right-handed pitcher surrendered five hits and seven runs over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking four. Lessman took the loss for Penn State Fayette. The pitcher went two innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking five.
