Women's Soccer Falls Short Against Keystone College

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Women's Soccer fell to NCAA Division III opponent Keystone College, 4-1.

Schuylkill dominated the shot count in the first half, firing off 14 attempts compared to Keystone's 8. Brittney Holland (Andreas, PA / Lehighton Area) connected with Olivia Dress (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Schuylkill Haven) for the game's opening goal at the 23:18 mark. Keystone quickly responded, leveling the score less than a minute later. They then took the lead, 2-1, with a penalty kick at the 32:18 mark.

In the second half, Keystone matched their first-half goal tally, adding two more while keeping Schuylkill scoreless. Despite leading the shot count 8-5 in the second half, Schuylkill couldn't find the back of the net, as all attempts were saved by Keystone. Schuylkill also held an 11-6 advantage in corner kicks.

Schuylkill (2-3-1 overall, 1-1 PSUAC) will resume play on Wednesday, September 25th as they travel to NCAA Division III opponent Wilson College.
