Men's Soccer Loses PSUAC Opener to Penn State New Kensington

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Men's Soccer lost their conference opener to Penn State New Kensington on Saturday.

Jake Moser (Pottstown, PA / Pottstown) opened the scoring early, netting the first goal at the 3:15 mark. Mont Alto was the aggressor the rest of the period, outshooting Schuylkill 17-2. Bryce Hensley (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Blue Mountain) was solid in goal, stopping 13 of New Kensington's 18 shots in the first half.

New Kensington responded with their first goal just two minutes before halftime and carried that momentum into the second period, where they scored three more goals. They also controlled the shot count in the second half, outshooting Schuylkill 11-1.

Schuylkill (0-5 overall, 0-1 PSUAC) will travel to Penn State York for their next matchup on Wednesday, September 25th.
