Men’s Soccer Suffers Shutout At Paul Smith’s

PAUL SMITH'S, N.Y.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team was shut out 3-0 by the Bobcats of Paul Smith's College in Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) play on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The Seawolves put together 10 shots on goal, unable to take advantage. Likewise, the Bobcats tallied 10 on target and converted three, all inside 23 minutes. Jake Lewis, Marvis Nosa, and Foster Hutchins all contributed for the home team.

First-year goalkeepers Ian Allen (Avon, Maine) and Mohammed Turki (Portland, Maine) combined for seven saves.

The result moves SMCC to 1-6-2 overall, 1-2-1 in league play.

The Seawolves finish the weekend with another conference opponent in Hampshire College on Sunday, Oct. 2. Kickoff from Wainwright Recreation Complex is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
