Concord, N.H. – In another high-scoring playoff game, the Seawolves (4-10-2) were narrowly defeated by the Mustangs from Central Maine Community College (CMCC) (9-1-2) in the semifinal round of the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) tournament on Saturday, Oct. 29.

SMCC drew first with a goal from first-year Alberto Kissaka (Biddeford, Maine) just 11 seconds into the game. Sophomore Laszlo Dorogi (West Boylston, Mass.) added two goals before the first half closed, scoring his third for a hat trick at 61:20. Kissaka tallied his second goal of the game in the 90th minute to round out the scoring. First-year goalkeeper Ian Allen (Avon, Maine) made five saves in net.

Central Maine would go on to be crowned YSCC championships with a 1-0 win over Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on Sunday, Oct. 30.

Coach's Thoughts: "We were on the offensive during these playoffs, and you've always got a chance if your team can keep moving the scoreboard. Unfortunately, we fell short today against another talented offense; regardless, I'm extremely pleased with our efforts in this tournament." – Head coach Brian Dougher

Seawolves Stars of the Game:

Dorogi: Three goals
Kissaka: Two goals
Allen: Five saves
