SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's soccer team played to its fourth draw of the season, 2-2, with the Panthers from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) on Saturday, Sept 24.

Junior captain Desiree Veilleux (Winslow, Maine) connected for her first cap of the season by way of a free kick on the corner of the 18-yard box. First-year Chanelle McDonough (Gorham, Maine) put away her team-leading fourth goal of the season on a thru-ball that split the defense from sophomore Paige St. Pierre (Waterville, Maine)—that doubled the home team's lead at the break.

The second half featured two goals from Albany's Julia Roemer, the conference's leading scorer, which finished the game in a stalemate.

SMCC remains undefeated at 1-0-4 overall, 1-0-1 in conference place. ACPHS stands 4-1-1 overall, 2-0-1 YSCC.

Yankee Small College Conference action continues when the Lady Seawolves travel to NHTI on Wednesday, Sept. 28. Kickoff in Concord, N.H. is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
