Hard weekend for Fayette WBB

Lemont Furnace, PA- Women's basketball had a tough weekend at home.

Fayette women's basketball had a tough match up with the PSUAC East this past weekend going 0-2. The scores for the weekend were 48-46, in favor of Hazleton and 61-54 in favor of Schuylkill. Although a close game Saturday, Fayette played hard, only having 5 active and able players for all 40 minutes of the game. Takiah Cheathon, a first year player from Reister, MD totalled out for the weekend with 39 points and 11 assists. Heaven Grum added to the point total at 29 points.

Head Coach Scott Hillen had this to say about the weekend matchups, "[The] team gave great effort playing with 5 and 6 players. We were in both games and we know little things we could have did beter to get the wins. The heart and effort was there."

Fayette will continue their home streak, playing PSU Dubois tonight at 6:00 P.M.
