Men's Basketball Takes Down Berkeley
On Friday the Syracuse Bobcats hosted the Knights of Berkeley College in an afternoon contest at the Boys & Girls Club of Syracuse.
It was a high powered first half with multiple lead changes as both teams exchanged buckets. The Bobcats were down by a small margin heading into halftime as they trailed the Knights 50-48.
"They have a talented team but only 6 guys could make the trip for them. We knew if we kept up the pace and hustle we would be able to out work them in the end." Coach Dan Frisina.
As the second half got under way, you could tell the Bobcats were through messing around for the afternoon. They regained the lead from Berkeley almost instantly and didn't look back. Aggressive defense with some big time shot making helped the Bobcats close out the Knights at home in the last home contest of the season. Freshman Tyler Gadson lead all Bobcats and set an all time Bryant & Stratton Syracuse Men's Basketball record with 44 total points! He also grabbed 10 rebounds.
"This is by far the best team game all year. The guys are really starting to come together at the right time, I'm proud of them." Coach Dan Frisina.
The Bobcats hit the road wednesday with our women's team to take on BSC Albany.
GO BOBCATS!!!
