The victory improved UMA's record to 16-2, with an impressive 8-1 in conference play, while Southern Maine fell to 5-13 overall and 4-7 in the conference. This now makes 13 wins in a row for the Moose.
From the tip-off, the Moose set the tone, establishing a strong lead in the first quarter with 24 points, with Southern Maine scoring 13. Sage Fortin helped lead the charge for the Moose, scoring 23 points and showcasing her shooting prowess with 8 field goals, including 5 three-pointers. Bella Petrocci also made a significant impact off the bench, contributing 29 points, which included an impressive 8 three-pointers. Lillian Cox finished with a double-double, 10 points and recorded 10 rebounds, showcasing her presence on both ends of the court.
