PETERSBURG, Virginia – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball won its United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) national tournament consolation game against the 7-seeded Vikings from Villa Maria College, 76-70, on Tuesday, Mar. 14.

The Seawolves took an early lead and maintained their advantage throughout the game, ahead six points at the break. Villa Maria produced a stronger second half but SMCC was able to match its 38-point performance from the 20 minutes prior.

Sophomore captain Jack Pzyynski (Saco, Maine) finished his Seawolves' career with 22 points, 8-12 from the field. This was Pyzynski's sixth 20-plus scoring performance of the season.

Bryant Rosa and Rhalon Bragg combined for 23 points for the Vikings.

Head Coach Matt Richards was happy to end the season on a good note, "Really proud of our guys collecting their 20th win on the season. It's always good to end the year with a win."
