Mustangs Take Early Morning Match at ACPHS

Albany, NY – The CMCC volleyball team shook off the early-morning doldrums to knock off the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Panthers 3-0 on day two of their road trip to New York. The Mustangs took the match in straight sets, 25-13, 25-22, and 25-11. 

Autumn Peterson led the way with 10 kills and 12 total points, while Natalie Roy and Jacki Bartoschek each finished with six kills. Roy also had three of her team's nine aces, the most in that category. Shalamar Szarka was once again steady in the middle, as the setter finished with 16 assists, while libero Keliah Stith had a team-high 40 digs. 

Central Maine finishes off a season sweep of ACPHS and improves to 8-1 in YSCC conference play headed into the final month of the season. The Mustangs next take on rival Southern Maine Community College on Wednesday, October 2nd at 6:00 pm in South Portland.
