Huskies Fall in NIT Semi-Final

(2) Word of Life Huskies took on the (3) Trinity Baptist College Eagles on Friday evening in the first Semi-Final of the 2023 Bible College NIT. The winner of this game will face the winner of the second Semi-Final game between (1) Trinity College (FL) and (4) The Crown College.

The Huskies looked in the first 10 seconds of the game as if they may run away with the game, winning the tip and making a quick easy layup to open the scoring. The Eagles would then start on a 20-4 run, which the Huskies then started their climb up and got the lead down to 5. The Eagles were able to stretch their lead back out to 13 with a 40-27 lead into the halftime break. The second half was all Eagles as they held the Huskies to just 22 points and racked up another 37 points just like they played against Patrick Henry College (VA) the night before. The Eagles would take an 87-49 victory over the Word of Life Bible Institute Huskies to advance to the Bible College NIT Championship Game.

The Huskies will play in the Bible College NIT 3^rd Place Game against the loser of (1) Trinity College (FL) and (4) The Crown College at 2 PM located at Mt. Hope, West Virginia.
