Mustags sweep Lynx

Auburn, ME - After two big wins against Quincy College on Saturday, the Mustangs baseball team swept a good NHTI team on Sunday to go 4-0 on the weekend. 

In game, Trevor Phelps carried a no hitter into the 5th inning before giving up a single. He pitched six innings giving up two hits and striking out 12 in a 5-1 victory. Mason Booker pitched the 7th. 
 
Garren Post was had two hits and two RBI to lead the Mustang offense. Jimmy Reed had an RBI on a perfectly placed suicide squeeze bunt. 
 
 
In game two, the Mustangs started off slow but regrouped and came away with a come from behind 7-5 win. Zach Mann had the game winning hit with one out in the 5th. Jimmy Reed and Rolando Rodriguez were repeat hitters for the Mustangs with Reed collecting two RBI. Hunter Warren started for the Mustangs before giving way to Booker and Garret Harvey. Booker got the win while Harvey got the save. 
 
The Mustangs improve to 7-1 and host York County CC on Tuesday night with game 1 starting at 5:00pm.
