HOW IT HAPPENED

-Notre Dame of Maryland got off to a solid start, taking two close sets by finals of 26-24, 25-22. The Gators recorded 16 kills on 43 attack attempts in set one and 12 of 37 in set two.

-Mont Alto battled back to win a pivotal third set 25-21 and dominated most of set four by a final of 25-16.

-Notre Dame of Maryland got out to a 10-6 lead in set five after Mont Alto tied it at 5-5. NDMU won set five 15-9.
