SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Women's Volleyball fell in their first PSUAC contest of the season to Penn State York, 3-1.
After Schuylkill claimed the first set 25-20, York responded by winning three consecutive sets, ultimately taking the match 3-1. Schuylkill dominated the opening set, securing 14 kills. York, however, achieved double-digit kills in every set, matching Schuylkill's high in the final two sets. In the third set, York posted a .419 hitting percentage.
Maddy Robinson (Auburn, PA / Blue Mountain) and Sydney Morton (Norfolk, VA / Gateway Christian Academy) each recorded 11 kills, while Ryliegh Sinko (Minersville, PA / Nativity BVM) tallied 21 assists. Tiffany Bohner (Hegins, PA / Tri Valley) and Mahea Kelley (Bowie, MD / Bowie) finished with 23 and 22 digs, respectively.
Schuylkill (1-4 overall, 0-1 PSUAC) will return to action on Monday, September 16th as they host Penn State Hazleton.
