Early Lead For Elms College Seals Fate For Penn State Fayette

Winter Haven, FL - Penn State Fayette watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 14-1 loss to Elms College on Friday. Elms College scored on a walk by Nohilly in the first inning, a walk by Moriarty in the first inning, a walk by Kelley in the first inning, and a sacrifice fly by Nohilly in the second inning.

The Fayette struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Elms College, giving up 14 runs.

In the first inning, Elms College got their offense started when Nohilly drew a walk, scoring one run.

Elms College scored seven runs in the fifth inning.  GalenskiNohilly,  PrestiaHiggins, and Cook all drove in runs in the frame.

Sebastyanski took the win for Elms College. Sebastyanski surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out five.  Kazarian threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Kaleb Shultz took the loss for Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions . The pitcher went one-third of an inning, allowing four runs on one hit.

Andrew Despot led Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions with two hits in three at bats.

Elms College saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. CookChayaPrestiaHiggins, and Moriarty each racked up multiple hits for Elms College. Cook went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Elms College in hits. Elms College didn't commit a single error in the field. Galenski had six chances in the field, the most on the team.

In the second contest, Penn State Fayette watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-4 loss to Elms College on Friday. Elms College scored on a groundout by Galenski in the first inning and a double by Young in the second inning.

The Nittany Lions struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Elms College, giving up 13 runs.

In the first inning, Elms College got their offense started. Galenski grounded out, scoring one run.

Penn State Fayette scored three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower was led by Andrew Despot and Sawyer D'Andrea, who all drove in runs.

Elms College scored six runs in the seventh inning. Elms College's big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Young and Galenski, a triple by Cook, and a single by Prestia.

Tarantino was the winning pitcher for Elms College. The bulldog lasted three innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out seven. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with KaradimasSgarlataSaad, and Miranda all securing outs and ultimately the victory.

Jorge Palmas took the loss for Fayette. The righty went six innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and striking out four.

D'Andrea led Fayette with two hits in four at bats.

Elms College saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. RoyPrestiaYoung, and Nohilly all had multiple hits for Elms College. Roy went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Elms College in hits. Elms College stole eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Roy led the way with two.
