Game One: Potomac State 11, Penn State Mont Alto 0
The Catamounts scored eight runs in the final three innings to pull away with a 11-0 victory over Penn State Mont Alto in game one of the non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon.
Both teams went scoreless through two innings until Abby Peace plated Alexa Shoemaker on a home run to left center as Potomac State led 2-0 after the third inning. The visitors added three more runs in the top of the fifth inning as Alexis Bailey hit the second home run of the game for Potomac State and Simone Blanks recorded a RBI single and later scored on a delayed steal before the final out of the inning was recorded.
Peace hit her second home run of the game on an offering from Dani-Lynn Barklow in the top of the seventh to push the lead to 7-0. Grace Walsh and Alexa Shoemaker each registered RBI hits as the Catamounts added five insurance runs in the top of the seventh inning to lead 11-0. Penn State Mont Alto went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning as Potomac State starter Abby Peace went the distance, striking out 13 Mont Alto hitters.

Game Two: Potomac State 7, Penn State Mont Alto 6
Trailing 6-1 entering the seventh inning, Penn State Mont Alto rallied to force the game to extra innings as McKenna Sas cleared the bases on a grand slam home run with one out in the inning.
Both teams went scoreless through three innings until Penn State Mont Alto struck first in the bottom of the fourth inning on an Emily Sicinski RBI single. Potomac State would score the next six runs in the contest with two in the top of the fifth inning and four in the top of the sixth inning. Chloe Sullivan recorded a single with one out in the inning and MacKenzie Stake singled to third base to put two runners on with just one out. Kirsten Dell loaded the bases when she reached on an error by third base Kasey Pope. Abigail Cunningham recorded an RBI walk to cut the deficit to 6-2 and Sas recorded a grand slam on the very next at-bat to tie the game at 6-6.
Potomac State would plate a run in the top of the 8th inning to take the non-conference doubleheader against Penn State Mont Alto with a game two final of 7-6.
