Second Half comeback falls just short

Second Half comeback falls just short

Bangor, ME - The Moose went into halftime down 15 against Villa Maria and finished the game on a 23-13 run but it wasn't enough as they fell to the visiting Vikings 68-75.

With 3:39 remaining in the game and the Moose down by 9, Elijah Smith recieved a pass from Jovan Sisovic and barried a 3 pointer less then 30 seconds later Smith got a pass from Berk Evduzen which converted for another three, pulling the Moose to within 3 at 66-69; after a Viking make to put it at 66-71 the Moose would come down again and see Elijah Smith come up with an offensive rebound and made layup to again pull the Moose to within 3 at 68-71. The Moose would posses the ball down 3 with 1:02 remaining in the game but would fail to convert and that would lead to a Viking victory.

The Moose were led by Elijah Smith who scored 19 points in 20 minutes of action. Trevor Beals added 15 points and 7 rebounds and Fraser MacDonald recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

The men hit the court again tomorrow for a 2pm tip off at NHTI.
