Madonna scored three early runs in the second inning on a Gabby Toth double and a RBI groundout. Madonna also scored two in the fourth inning and three in the fifth to win via mercy rule 8-0. Madonna's Jane Anderson pitched a no-hitter over her five innings, striking out 10 Mont Alto batters. Delaney Glazer pitched four innings in her season opening start, allowing six runs and striking out one batter.

Mont Alto bounced back quickly picking up a 10-5 win over Trinity International during game two on Sunday afternoon. MacKenzie Stake picked up her first win of the season pitching four innings and striking out four batters. Delaney Glazer led the Mont Alto offense with four hits and two runs batted in. Stake also had two hits on offense and Skye Herring went 2 for 4 with a double. Haley Dawson was strong in relief of Stake as she went three innings and struck out one Trinity International batter.
