CMCC Comes Back After Losing First Set To Beat SMCC In Four

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine – In their fourth and final meeting of the regular season, the Seawolves (7-7) were defeated by the Mustangs from Central Maine Community College (CMCC) in four sets on senior day, Tuesday, Oct. 11.

SMCC came out of the gates strong, winning the first set 25-20. CMCC took set two 25-16 before claiming both hard-fought sets in the third and fourth with scores of 25-23 and 25-20.

Sophomore Rachel Pardi (Portland, Maine) posted nine kills and four digs for the Seawolves. First-years Jordan Bickford (Cumberland, Maine) and Anna White (Buxton, Maine) logged eight kills apiece, the two combined for 30 digs. Sophomore Lillian Findlan (North Berwick, Maine) racked six kills. Sophomore libero Emelia Lamie (Rochester, N.H.) put up two kills and eight digs and sophomore Katie Ewings (North Yarmouth, Maine) totaled four kills.
