Lemont Furnace, PA- Women's basketball splits weekend with PSU York and PSU Mont Alto.
Fayette had a tough loss Friday night to Penn State York with a 60-58 heartbreaker. Fayette as a team did below 40% shooting percentages and Head Coach Scott Hillen spoke to this matter, "We played out of character on Friday and was a little selfish. We didn't play team basketball."
Taylor McCormick scored 14 points for Fayette and Heaven Grumm had 13 points. Abigail Bickerton finished with a solid 12 rebounds.
Fayette looked like a different team Saturday against PSU Mont Alto, winning 64-35. Taylor McCormick had 32 points and 10 steals, Heaven Grum added 16 points to the numbers as well.
Head Coach Scott Hillen spoke about the win, "Saturday we cam eout wit a little more energy but it took us a half to get into a groove. We played beter defense in 2nd half and that helped us win."
Fayette plays Friday night against PSU Brandywine for a crossover East/West match up at 6:00 P.M.
