Knights can't hold on to early lead as they fall to VTSU Lyndon

Lyndon, VT: The Vermont Stae University Knights traveled to their in state rival VTSU Lyndon, with both teams looking for their first win of the season. After getting on the scoreboard first, the Knights gave up 3 unanswered goals and lost 3-1. The Knights fall to 0-7-1 on the season.
Randolph got on the scoreboard first in the 15th minute when Kaleb Swett collected a loose ball after a scramble and fired it past Lyndon goalkeeper D'Amecio Singleton. The Knights were able to keep the Hornets off of the scoreboard for the rest of the half, taking a 1-0 lead into intermission.
The Hornets were able to tie the score early in the second half in the 55th minute on a long ball from the Matthew Mcgeehan. In the next 20 minutes Lyndon's David Gratton and Jason Nofsker would also find the back of the net, as the game quickly got away from the Knights. VTSU- Randolph was able to finish the game with solid defense, but was unable to make up the deficit.
Vermont State University- Randolph will be back in action this weekend as they host two conference matches against UMaine Augusta and Southern Maine Community College. Women's will start at 2 and men's at 4.
