Huskies Win NIT Opener

The Word of Life Bible Institute Huskies traveled to Mount Hope, West Virginia to play in the 2023 Bible College National Invitational Tournament (NIT). The Huskies received the number 2 seed out of the seven teams in this year's tournament bracket and faced 7 seed Dayspring Bible College Eagles.

The Huskies got off to a quick start against the Eagles with a 16-0 run just 3:56 into the game. The Eagles were able to cut the lead down quickly, but the Huskies ran into halftime with a 25-21 lead. The Huskies and the Eagles both got off to slow starts early in the second half, but it was the Huskies that began to stretch the lead as far as 16 points halfway through the second half and never looked back as they defeated the Eagles 60-47 to advance to the NIT Semi-Final against the winner between (6) Patrick Henry and (3) Trinity Baptist on Friday night at 6:00 PM from Appalachian Bible College.
