Brandywine Falls On Senior Day

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine women's soccer team dropped a 12-0 decision to New Jersey City University during Senior Day on Saturday.

Demareste Dorvilma (Carteret, N.J./Carteret) made eight saves for the Lions, while playing all 90 minutes in net, but it was not enough as the Gothic Knights poured in six goals during each half.

Gabby DiBernardino (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley), one of Brandywine's two seniors, along with Alyssa Hanrahan (Clifton Heights, Pa./Upper Darby), recorded the lone shot on goal for the Lions during the 68th minute. Gia Cetroni (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) also produced a shot that finished wide of the cage.

NJCU posted eight goal scorers led by Jessica Digristina's four-goal performance.

Brandywine (2-5) opens conference play next Saturday at Penn State Schuylkill at 12:00 PM.
