Bobcats Use Stifling Defense to Win Fourth Straight Season Opener
BUFFALO, NY – The Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Bobcats used their best defensive performance in years to stifle the Andrews Cardinals on Saturday and pick up their fourth consecutive season-opening win. Five players were in double-figures, with sophomore Sam Dorissaint leading the way with 15 points as Buffalo cruised to a dominating 78-46 win in day one of the Bobcat Kickoff Classic.

Five players were in double-figures, with sophomore Sam Dorissaint leading the way with 15 points as Buffalo cruised to a dominating 78-46 win in day one of the Bobcat Kickoff Classic.
Dorissaint, the preseason Vaden Cup Preseason Conference Player of the Year, added eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Sophomore Eric Waters and junior Marcellus Cooper each scored 14, while sophomore newcomer Kalon Kimble and junior guard Denzel Fuller each netted 10.
Buffalo (1-0) held Andrews to just 19 points in the first half and led by 11. For the game, they held Andrews to 37.7 percent shooting and 28.6 percent from three. Buffalo won the battle on the boards 40-35, and forced 29 turnovers. Sophomore Davon Ware dished out a career-high 12 assists and had zero turnovers.
UP NEXT: Buffalo will take on Penn State Mont Alto in the second day of the Bobcat Kickoff Classic on Sunday. Tip is set for 4:30 p.m.
