Walton Reaches 1,000 Career Points In A Tough Loss To Wildcats

The Apprentice School had 4 players score in double-figures, but it wasn't enough as they fell short on the road to EMAC rival and USCAA D2's #1 ranked, Johnson & Wales Wildcats, 80-88. With the loss, the Builders moved to a 10-10 overall record and are 2-1 in the EMAC. Johnson & Wales improved to 17-3 and 4-0 in EMAC contests.

ON THE COURT:

The Builders raced out to an early 20-13 lead in the first half, but the fast-paced offense of the Wildcats allowed them to battle back and take a narrow 38-37 lead into the half-time break. Both teams battled in the second half, but JWU was able to go on a 10-2 run with 14 minutes remaining, which allowed them to gain a comfortable 61-50 lead. The two teams will meet again on February 15th at The Apprentice School Athletic Center.
