Important Memo Regarding National Convention

Dear Member Athletic Directors,

I am writing to inform the membership that the Board of Directors voted unanimously to move the 2021 USCAA National Convention to a virtual platform this year.  Despite hopes that the curve of COVID-19 would slow, the growing number of cases nation-wide and uncertainty about vaccine distribution make it impossible to properly register participants and plan in an effective manner.  Furthermore, we felt it in the best interest of the health and safety of our members to be on the side of caution.

We remain committed to providing the best possible professional development for our members and to provide even more engaging sessions for members to interact, share ideas, and present conversations that move our association and member institutions forward.  The event will remain the same dates as previously communicated – June 6-9.  We will have more updates soon on the event schedule and whether the association plans to move forward with a Hall of Fame class this year.

Keep in mind, we have yet to cancel our spring National Championships as well as the Cross Country and Golf National Championships.  The Board of Directors will meet on January 25th to further review where we are and move us forward in our planning.  We wish all of our member administrators, coaches, and student athletes plenty of health and happiness in this new year.  We are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with this pandemic and look forward to getting back to competition as soon as we can.  Athletic Directors who have questions may contact me directly.

Thank you,
