#6 Apprentice School 69, #7 Oakwood 79

UNIONTOWN, PA- Oakwood withstood a slow start shooting to score 48 second half points to defeat Apprentice School 79-69.  All-American Austin Doggette hit five three-pointers down the stretch and led the Oakwood Ambassadors with 19 points (6-11).  Fellow All-American Lenard Bryant added 9 points and 13 rebounds, and Ryan Moore contributed 17 points in the winning effort.

After trailing 47-42 in the second half, the seventh-seeded Ambassadors closed the final 12:29 of the game on a 37-22 run.  The Apprentice School was led by All-American Isaih Harrison who scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.  Fellow Builder All-American Tevin Andrews left the game early in the second half with a head injury and did not return.  Lance Darden added 16 points for the sixth-seeded Apprentice.

Oakwood, who will be seeking their second USCAA National Championship (2007), will meet Rochester in the National Championship, Saturday night and 9:00 p.m. in the Main Arena.  The Apprentice School will face Ave Maria in the third place game, Saturday at 9:45 a.m. in the Main Arena.
