USCAA Finalizes 2020 Championship Dates
Norfolk, VA- The United States Collegiate Athletic Association has finalized the rescheduled dates for the 2020 championships that were postponed due to the pandemic.
Kicking off the championship season will be the USCAA 2020 Cross Country Championships. This championship event will consist of a women’s 6K race, followed by a men’s 8K race. Both races will be held at the Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The new dates for this event will be March 19-20, 2021.
Following the Cross Country Championships will be the Basketball Championships. After 12 years in southwestern Pennsylvania, 2021 marks the first year that the USCAA will hold the Basketball Championships in Richmond, Virginia. In just four days, 36 teams will play 42 games naming four national champions across two divisions of both men’s and women’s basketball. The new dates for this event will be March 28-April 1, 2021. The event will take place at the Virginia State University Multi-Purpose complex, a state of the art facility that rivals many DI arenas.
The next championship event will return to Virginia Beach, Virginia. The 2020 volleyball championships have been rescheduled for a new date of April 15-17, 2021. This tournament will consist of a Division I bracket and a Division II bracket.
Next on the calendar will be the Golf National Championships. The 2020 Golf National Championships will now be held on May 9-11, 2021 in State College, Pennsylvania at the Penn State Blue Course.
Rounding out the end of the championship season is the 2021 Small College World Series and the 2020 Soccer National Championships which will overlap each other. The 2021 Small College World Series will be held on May 16-20, 2021 in DuBois, Pennsylvania. National Champions will be crowned in both baseball and softball. The 2020 Soccer National Championships will begin on May 17th and finish on May 21st in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This championship event will consist of a Division I men’s and women’s bracket and a Division II men’s and women’s bracket.
