SUNY DELHI CAPTURES 2021 USCAA NATIONAL INVITATIONAL

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Riding the strength of a 12-over-par 300 round on Tuesday in blustery conditions, SUNY Delhi overcame a two-stroke deficit and captured the 2021 USCAA National Invitational with a two-day total of 23-over-par 599 on the Penn State University Blue Course.

Mississippi University for Women was second after a 305 round on Tuesday for a 602 total and Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg took third after a round of 310 for a two-day total of 607.

Brandon Walker won the individual championship for Mississippi University for Women recording a pair of even-par rounds of 72 for a two-stroke victory at even-par 144, while Jarrett McWilliams of SUNY Delhi was second at two-over-par 146.

Emma Coggin of Mississippi University for Women won the women’s medalist honors at 181 by one stroke over Ali Bazzani of St. Mary of the Woods.

The Broncos took home their second USCAA Championship after winning in 2017 with all five golfers finishing in the top 12.  Following McWilliams’ second place showing was Brandon Palmer in fifth (71-77-148), Daniel Christy in sixth (77-72-149), Zach Barrett (79-79) and Jason Cyr (81-77) were in a tie for 12th place at 158.
