Nikki Velez of Penn State Brandywine is the USCAA Women’s Division II Basketball Player of the Week. Velez had a record-breaking week for the PSU Brandywine. Velez started the week by playing in all 40 minutes against Penn State Lehigh Valley. She scored a game-high 22 points. She also recorded 4 rebounds and 3 steals. In Brandywines games against PSU Schuylkill, Velez poured in 41 points. This was the first 40-point game by a PSUAC player this season and second in Brandywine history. The senior buried nine three-pointers, also one of Brandywine’s single-game record, including five in the fourth quarter when she scored Brandywines final 18 points.
